Keyboard shortcuts

You can change them at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

Clipboard

Bottom bar → Clipboard

• Everything you copy is saved: texts, links and images. Click an item to copy it again.
• Search, or filter by type (links, emails, colors, code, prices…) and by the site you copied from.
• Pin what matters so it stays at the top and is never cleaned up.
• Sensitive items, such as passwords, are hidden on screen.
• Settings → Privacy: switch saving off at any time, list private sites where nothing is kept, or protect your texts with a password (they are then encrypted, and a recovery code is shown once).

Calculator

Bottom bar → Calculator

• Type a calculation such as (150 * 20) + 12.5 and press Enter, or use the keys on screen. Esc clears it.
• Your calculations are kept in a history below. You can clear it at any time.

Notes & to-do

Bottom bar → Notes

• Write notes with Markdown and switch to the preview to see the result.
• The to-do list holds simple tasks with priorities. Tick them off as you go.

Password generator

··· → Password

• Pick the length and the characters, then generate. The password is made on your device, and your choices are remembered.
• Copy it with one click, or turn on automatic copy.

QR codes

··· → QR Code, or Alt + S

• Scan: select an area of a page, or pick an image. WorkBox shows where the code leads before you open it.
• Create: type a link or text, then choose colors, shapes and a logo. Test that the code can be read before you use it.

Color picker

··· → Color

• Pick any color on your screen and copy it as HEX, RGB or HSL.

Converter

··· → Convert

• Convert units and currencies. Exchange rates are updated once a day.
• If an update fails, approximate built-in rates are used and a warning says so.

⏱️ Timer, stopwatch & Pomodoro

··· → Timer

• They keep running when you close the popup, and you get a notification when time is up.

Text shortcuts

··· → Shortcuts

• Create a short code such as !mail and the text it stands for.
• Type the code in any text field on a website: it expands into your full text.

Image compressor

··· → Compressor

• Add images (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, SVG…) and shrink them. Nothing is uploaded: it all happens in your browser.

Music player

Bottom bar → Music

• Add your own audio files and play them while you work. Choose repeat: off, whole playlist, or this track only.

Tab triage

··· → Tab triage · off by default

• Tabs you open in the background (mouse wheel click or Ctrl + click) wait in a 🔴 Not opened yet group.
• Once you visit one, it moves to 🟢 Already opened.
• You can rename the groups, choose their colors and add sites that should be left alone.

AI-free search

··· → AI-free search

• Hides the AI answers on Google and Brave Search, so you keep the classic list of links.

Protection

··· → Protection

• Shows a warning before you land on a suspicious, phishing-like or adult website.
• It is an aid, not a guarantee: it can miss a dangerous site or flag a harmless one.

Backup & lock

Settings (the gear at the top of the popup)

• Backup: save your data to a file or a link. To move to another computer, restore it there and choose to keep or replace what is already in WorkBox.
• Lock: protect the popup with a password. Keep your recovery code somewhere safe: without it, nobody can read your encrypted texts.
